Online Application System Launch – Manual Applications No Longer Accepted

The University of Goroka is pleased to announce that applications for Admission 2027 are now open. For the first time, the University is accepting applications exclusively through its new online portal, BILUM.

What You Need to Know

Who Can Apply:

School Leavers: Must apply through the National Online Application System (NOAS). Applications will be processed through the official government system.
Non-School Leavers: Can apply directly to the University of Goroka using the online BILUM portal at bilum.uog.ac.pg

Important: Manual applications and hard copies are no longer accepted. All applicants must apply online.

About BILUM

BILUM is the University of Goroka's official academic portal. It manages students' applications, enrollment, grade tracking, fee payments, and document verification—all in one secure platform.

How to Apply

Step 1 – Prepare Your Documents

Grade 12 Certificate (scanned copy or photo from mobile)
Soft copy of passport-type photo (Face Photo)
Any additional documents required by your program

Step 2 – Create Your Account

Visit bilum.uog.ac.pg and create your free applicant account.

You will need:

A valid personal email address (must be unique to you only—not shared with anyone else)
An active mobile phone number (for receiving updates and verification)

Make sure your email and mobile number are correct. The University will use these to contact you about your application.

Step 3 – Submit Your Application

Complete and submit your online application for the program(s) you wish to apply for.

Step 4 – Check STAT-PNG Requirement for Your Program

If your chosen program requires the STAT-PNG test, you must register for the test before submitting your application. After registering with STAT-PNG, you will receive a STAT ID. This STAT ID must be entered in your BILUM application form. Once you complete the STAT-PNG test, the BILUM system will automatically receive your results directly from STAT-PNG—you do not need to upload test results manually.

Step 5 – Receive Your Application Number

BILUM will automatically issue you an Application Number. Keep this number safe as you will need it for all future communications with the University.

Step 6 – Pay the Application Fee

Pay the non-refundable application fee of K50 per program.

Important Reminders

You can apply for multiple programs from one account.
Each program application requires a separate K50 fee.
All documents must be clear and legible (scanned copy).
Keep your Application Number for all future inquiries.
Response time during busy periods may take up to 7 days.
Check if your program requires the STAT-PNG test.

Understanding STAT-PNG Requirements

Many University of Goroka programs require applicants to sit for the STAT-PNG test. STAT-PNG is a standardized aptitude and achievement test used to assess student readiness for tertiary education.

If Your Program Requires STAT-PNG:

Register for the STAT-PNG test through the official STAT-PNG website.
Upon registration, you will receive a unique STAT ID.
Enter your STAT ID in your BILUM application form.
Take the STAT-PNG test on your scheduled test date.
BILUM automatically receives your test results from STAT-PNG.
Your application will be assessed once results are received.
