The Quality Enhancement Hub (QEH) guides the quality of higher education provided at the University of Goroka and overseas the quality management systems through working with the Top Management Team and Line Managers to ensure and assure procedures and processes are aligned to the University’s: mission, strategic and operational plans as well as Papua New Guinea’s national quality standards. The QEH actively ensures quality assurance (QA) in the development plans of the University, especially its academic and research activities whilst supporting good practices in all facets of the University.
The QEH facilitates the UoG’s five year internal QA audits and external QA audits and prepares the University to address the recommendations and affirmations provided from these audits, as well as provide advice on the accreditation of academic programs at the University.
Current activities being undertaken
The University of Goroka underwent its first internal and external QA audits in 2013 and 2014. The University is now undergoing its second internal quality assessment due in May, whilst preparing for its external quality audit scheduled for the 23rd of July, 2018.
