Admissions


The University of Goroka (UOG) is one of the four State Universities in Papua New Guinea. The University is one of the leading Teacher Training Institute for the Southwest Pacific. The University also offers a variety of other Specialized Degree, Diploma and Certificate Programs in the School of Education, School of Humanities, School of Science and Technology, Institute of Technical Vocational Education and Training, School of Post Graduate Studies, and Institute of Distance & Flexible Learning.

Undergraduate and Postgraduate admissions are accepted for commencement in February and closure in October. Information is usually available roughly four months in advance and applications are usually submitted roughly four months in advance. The dates for Postgraduate admissions vary widely. Please check the website of each school or graduate school for further information.

The University does not sponsor students for any programs. Candidates are responsible for securing sponsorships for their studies. Candidates who do not secure a scholarship for their studies at the University will be required to pay the necessary fees themselves.

Intending Non-School Leaver applicants should note that a fee of K50.00 (non-refundable) will be charged for every application lodged. Applications without proof of payment will not be processed. All payments must be paid to the UOG Student Fee Account Bank South Pacific (BSP) Goroka Branch 1000751407.
